Webhooks that push feedback events into your own backend
When a vote lands or a Linear issue is linked, your own systems may need to know. Boarbs webhooks send signed HTTPS events to one endpoint you configure on Settings → API.
Free forever for small teams · No credit card · Unlimited voters
Polling the API is how integrations go stale
A nightly sync misses the moment a customer voted. A Zapier-only setup is hard to test and harder to secure. You want events, a secret, and a payload you can verify.
Cron jobs miss the interesting moment
Status changes and votes are bursts. If you poll every hour, Slack alerts and internal dashboards lag.
Unsigned callbacks get spoofed
A public POST URL without a signature is an invitation. You need a secret you can rotate and a documented scheme.
Webhooks that only fire on “new post”
Comments, votes, status, and Linear links are the events automation actually needs. A create-only hook is not enough.
One endpoint. A signing secret. The events teams automate on.
Starter and Pro organizations configure one HTTPS endpoint. An admin receives the signing secret once, can rotate it, and can remove the webhook. Payloads cover posts, comments, votes, status, and Linear link lifecycle.
Posts, comments, votes, status, Linear
Events include post.created, comment.created, post.status_changed, vote.created, vote.deleted, plus linear.linked, linear.status_changed, and linear.unlinked.
Signed payloads and a rotatable secret
Store the secret before you close the dialog. Rotate it later without inventing a new endpoint. Verify signatures in your backend.
Configured next to API keys
Settings → API is where endpoint URL, secret, and keys live. Developers should not hunt through five settings screens.
Linear-aware
When you use the Linear integration, existing webhooks also send link and status events with issue id, identifier, url, and status.
Starter and Pro
Webhooks are on Starter ($19/mo) and Pro. Free still has API access for pulls. Upgrade when you want pushes.
Not a placeholder. A real Boarbs surface.
Your backend receives signed events — no polling loop required.
