Invite Members
Add teammates to your workspace, choose the right role, and keep your internal workflow organized.
Boarbs works best when product, support, and engineering can collaborate in the same workspace.
Why Invite Members Early
Invite teammates as soon as you are ready to manage real feedback together.
This helps your team:
- review incoming posts faster
- assign owners to requests
- keep statuses and roadmap updates current
- avoid feedback living in one person's inbox
Where to Invite Members
Open Settings → Members.
From there, you can:
- send a new invitation
- choose a role for the invited user
- review active members
- review pending invitations
Available Roles
Boarbs supports these organization roles:
memberadminowner
As a rule of thumb:
- use
memberfor most teammates - use
adminfor people who should manage workspace settings and memberships - reserve
ownerfor the people responsible for the workspace itself
Recommended First Team Setup
For a small team, a practical starting setup is:
- 1 product owner or founder with an elevated role
- 1 support or customer success teammate to surface feedback trends
- 1 engineering lead or PM to help with roadmap decisions
You can expand from there once feedback volume increases.
Invite Flow
- Open Settings → Members
- Enter the teammate's email
- Choose their role
- Send the invitation
- Watch the invitation appear in the pending invitations list
After the person accepts, they become an active member of the workspace.
Pending Invitations
The members area separates:
- active members
- pending invitations
That makes it easy to see who already joined and who still needs to accept.
If someone never joins, you can review the pending list and revoke stale invites instead of leaving access half-open forever.
If You Hit a Member Limit
If Boarbs blocks a new invite, your current plan may have reached its member limit.
In that case:
- review whether every invite is necessary
- remove unused members if needed
- upgrade your plan before inviting more people
Internal Team Habits That Work Well
Once your team is inside Boarbs, agree on a lightweight operating rhythm:
- who checks
Inbox - who handles pending invitations and settings changes
- who moves posts into
Planned - who replies to users
- who updates the roadmap
Even a simple weekly routine keeps the board much healthier.
